On these holidays there is a choice of two guided walks for varying abilities each day.
ITINERARY
Day 1: arrival day |
|
Day 2: starting from the mountain village of Femés,
perhaps
traverse the panoramic ridge above, before descending through the Higuera Valley, heading for the coast at Puerto Calero.
Day 3: follow the coast east from Playa Blanca to
one of the island’s most delightful beaches at
Papagayo.
Day 4: morning walks between the villages of
Femés and Yaiza are followed by a visit to striking
volcanoes of the Timanfaya National Park and a
walk into a spectacular caldera; a truly unique
walking experience.
Day 5: free day - options include a relaxing day in
Playa Blanca, boat trips to Fuertaventura or visiting
some of the sculptures created by artist César
Manrique.
Day 6: enjoy walks through the intriguing cultivated
landscapes of La Geria, with options to ascend the
summits of Montaña Tinasoria and Montaña de
Guardilama, finishing at Puerto del Carmen.
Day 7: after a visit to the ancient capital of Teguise
and the solitary Ermita de las Nieves (chapel of the
snows), descend an old trail to explore the Palm
Valley of Haria, and a stunning viewpoint above the
dramatic Risco de Famara cliffs.

Each year we listen carefully to the views of our guests and make improvements to our walking programmes. Further information will be sent to you prior to your holiday; however the final selection of walks will be made by your walking leaders.

Your leaders will carry a number of maps and guides for this
holiday. If you would like to obtain one for your own enjoyment
