On these holidays there is a choice of two walks for varying abilities each day.
ITINERARY ONE: |
|
Day 1: arrival day
Day 2: enjoy a hillside traverse amidst spectacular mountain peaks and spurs exploring the scenic valley of Mengusovská Dolina with its succession of beautiful glacial tarns.
Day 3: ascend Lomnicky´ S˘ tít, the second highest Tatra summit for stunning views by funicular and lifts, and visit Téryho Chata, one of the Tatras’ most remote mountain inns.
Day 4: explore the lower slopes of the Tatras’ following the Tatra Trail between mountain lakes or ascend the peak of majestic Krívan for breathtaking panoramas.
Day 5: free day - visit dramatic Spis˘ Castle, the largest castle in Eastern Europe, and the medieval town of Levoc˘ a, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, or enjoy a leisurely rafting trip down the Dunejc Gorge.
Day 6: ascend to the spectacular viewpoint of Predné Solisko or take a circular route to explore Mlynická Dolina and Furkotská Dolina, two beautiful valleys linked by a stunning rugged ridge.
Day 7: traverse a panoramic balcony path enjoying dramatic views throughout the day or ascend the lofty summit of Slavkovksy´ S˘ tít for extensive views of the Tatra peaks.

Please Note: The above programme should give you a good feel for the
walks at this resort but is subject to change. Each year we listen carefully to
the views of our guests and make improvements to our walking programmes. Further
information will be sent to you prior to your holiday; however the final selection
of walks will be made by your walking leaders.
Local transport to and from walks:
Local transport is not included in the cost of your holiday.
Please allow €60 per (approx £45) per week for
transport during the week, excluding your free day. Payable
locally in Euros.

Built in the final years of the Hapsburg Empire, the four-star Grand Hotel is proud of its long tradition of hospitality and service. Set in the mountain resort of Stary´ Smokovec, the hotel has 79 comfortable en-suite bedrooms and a light and airy dining room which serves high standard traditional cuisine. There is also a large indoor swimming pool and health spa, a bar and several lounges.
