our resort of Kranjska Gora. These unspoilt mountains are a breath of fresh
air for walkers who come to enjoy the lush green valleys, crystal-clear rivers
and the dramatic limestone peaks that tower above. Highlights include guided
walks along the high ridges that form the borders with Italy and Austria, a visit
to the turquoise Lake Bohinj, and views of Triglav, Slovenia's highest mountain.
Kranjska Gora is a picturesque resort where you'll discover
an unspoilt way of life and warm Slovenian hospitality. Within
easy reach are Lake Bled, with its island church, and
the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.

On these holidays there is a choice of two guided walks for varying abilities each day. For maximum choice we
offer two weekly itineraries - ideal if you wish to book a 14-night holiday or return for a second visit.
ITINERARY ONE
Weeks of 20 June; 4, 18 July; 1, 15, 29 Aug 2009

Day 1: arrival day
Day 2: marvel at the high peaks and lush valleys from a panoramic balcony path, or ascend by chairlift to the Vitranc ridge before descending to the Emerald lake.
Day 3: climb to an eagle’s perch for a birds’ eye view over Kranjska Gora, or descend into the beautiful Tamar Valley under the stunning north face of Mojstrovka.
Day 4: use the Vogel cable car to rise far above Lake Bohinj and climb to the summit of Sila or venture along alpine paths to the impressive Black Lake.
Day 5: free day - take the bus to the Slovenian capital Ljubljana or visit the fascinating war museum at Kobriad.
Day 6: walk through the heart of the Julian Alps to a high col with magnificent views or descend the magical Vrata Valley to the spectacular Pericnik waterfall.
Day 7: head east to Bled to either climb Visevik for enthralling views of Triglav or explore the stunning Vintgar gorge.

ITINERARY TWO
Weeks of 27 June; 11, 25 July; 8, 22 Aug 2009
Day 1: arrival day
Day 2: ascend to the summit of Ciprnik for enthralling views or visit a mountain hut above the Martuljek gorge and waterfalls.
Day 3: starting from the spectacular Vrsic Pass, ascend the peaks of Mala and Velika Mojsrrovka or journey over the Vratica Saddle to the spectacular Sleme plateau.
Day 4: travel to Bohinj and use the chairlift to bag the peak of Vogel, or follow the Mostnica Gorge with its foaming waterfalls and translucent blue pools.
Day 5: free day - take the bus to visit the popular lakeside resort of Lake Bled, or a day out to the Adriatic coast taking in the caves of Postojna.
Day 6: descend the Soca Valley following the course of this enchanting turquoise river to visit the alpine botanical gardens, or ascend Slovenia’s Matterhorn, the peak of Svinjak.
Day 7: use the cable car from Bovec for an unforgettable ridge-walk or visit three countries in one go at the Drielanderhutte.
Day 8: departure day

Each year we listen carefully to the views of our guests and make improvements to our walking programmes. Further information will be sent to you prior to your holiday; however the final selection of walks will be made by your walking leaders.
Local transport to and from walks:
Local transport is not included in the cost of your holiday. Please allow €85 (approx £67) per week for local transport (payable locally in Euros), excluding your free day.
