This 4-night City break will show you the best of Catalan culture and the city’s fine architecture. You’ll start with a walking tour with your leader through the Gothic Quarter, stroll along the bustling Las Ramblas and finish at Gaudi’s Casa Mila. You’ll have the chance to marvel at Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia cathedral, and relax in the colourful Parc Guell. Visit the Palau de Música Catalana, Museu d’Historia de la Ciutat and Casa Batlló and enjoy views of the city from the Transbordador Aeri. In the evenings why not sample the local cuisine and wine and soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

| Paris |

Paris is a perfect city to visit all year round, but during Christmas and New Year the atmosphere is even more magical. With fast Eurostar links from St Pancras International, Paris is perfect for minimum travelling time but maximum festive experience.
Over the 5 days, your leader will take you to some of Paris’ most famous monuments and sights and a selection of the city’s leading museums. You’ll admire the Parisian skyline from the Eiffel Tower before enjoying a riverside walk to Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe and a boat ride along the Seine. There’ll be the chance to visit either the Louvre or the Museé d’Orsay and to admire the stunning architecture of the Notre-Dame and the Sacré Coeur. Wrap up warm and enjoy a stroll around Montmartre and Tuilerie gardens. There may also be the chance to visit the ornate Palace of Versailles and before you say au revoir to Paris, you can visit the Rodin Musuem.

With S. Wenceslas as its main Patron Saint, the Czech Republic is undoubtedly more qualified than other countries as a festive destination. The fairy-tale city of Prague is an ideal location if you’re seeking a truly enchanting Christmas.
Your exploration of Prague will start with a walking tour with your leader around the charming Old Town, crossing the Charles Bridge to Kampa Island and the Little Quarter. After seeing these sights, return to the Christmas market in the Old Town Square or Wenceslas Square for a warming glass of mulled wine. You’ll spend a day visiting the impressive castle complex with its Royal Palace, the great Gothic Cathedral of St Vitus and the quaint Golden Lane. There’ll also be time for a walk around the Jewish Quarter, a boat trip along the Vltava and the option to visit one of Prague’s many museums or galleries.
