A wonderful hotel. The owners were very welcoming and pleasant, the service first class. The leaders took great care of everyone and worked extremely hard to ensure we enjoyed the holiday. Don't think you could further improve the holiday. We both enjoyed every minute.

Montelupo, Italy

The Hotel at Montelupo was the best I have stayed in on a H F holiday in Europe.All staff in restaurant and hotel very helpful and food wonderful. John in particular was a very pleasant and helpful leader both walking and in the hotel and at the airport.

The hotel Ca'del Lupo is in a superb location overlooking nut plantations and vineyards towards 2 hill top towns. All the rooms are beautifully furnished. It is easily the best European hotel I've stayed in, and I've been to quite a few. It well deserves its accolade as 'best European hotel 2007'. It should achieve the same again this year! The food in the adjoining restaurant is outstanding and the shared staff with the hotel equally so. Walking leaders, John Smith and Roger Brook were excellent and worked hard in a relaxed way to ensure all the guests had an enjoyable stay.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and the food plentiful - after a delicious salad buffet and superb pasta I needed no main course. The small number of staff worked exceedingly hard and  tried very hard to please everyone.

This was my first break with HF Holidays. I had not been recommended so had no special expectations. Any misgivings were totally dispelled. Chris and John were knowledgable, articulate and, most crucially, good fun. Every day was a revelation and every night an event in a truly unique hotel. The staff at the Pousada contributed to our experience and the local cuisine which they (thankfully) are obliged to offer was stunning. It all added up to an energetic but uplifting trip for all 11 of us. For me it was a kiss of life during a busy career. Thanks to all concerned for a very professionally organised and trouble free break. I hope to see you again.

We made our own way with ease from the information given and were immediately assimilated into the group. The hotel was first class in everyway particularly the staff who were always attentive and helpful. The food was very typically Madeiran and more than sufficient to sate our considerable appetites. The walks were interesting and well suited to the abilities of our group. The guides John and Chris were well informed and careful of us all and provided excellent entertainment after dinner. Finally well done the whole group which got on well in every respect. Congratulations on a job well done we will certainly be going with you again.

Menorca, Spain

First time on an HFHolidays walking holiday and it was SUPERB. Both walking guides (Duncan and Peter) were excellent. Saw some superb Menorcan views in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Whole group got on really well and the walks were very well organised. Will definitely consider booking with HF Holidays again.

AN EXCELLENT AND ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY. The two leaders, Chris and Mervyn, were exceptional - even allowing for the high standard that HF Holidays usually produces. They went to great lengths to ensure that each day went splendidly with humour and genuine friendliness. Their professionalism was evident . Two real ambassadors for the company. The walks were well planned and always enjoyable in a surprisingly attractive and unspoilt island. The hotel was a level above the usual HF Holidays' fare, with good facilities and good food. A holiday venue which we suspect is going to increase in attractiveness.

Hotel Port Mahon was very clean and comfortable and the food at every meal was excellent. The service was good and coffee in the bar after the meal gave us all the chance for a chat and relax. The quizzes in the evening were great fun - a nice ending to the day. Again a great holiday, can't wait for the next one!
